Feeding the merry go round way ......

Puppies eating their food moving in a counterclockwise position without running into each other. If one puppy is a faster eater than another puppy a puppy jam may happen. One puppy may must climb over the other puppy or simply behind and cut in front to continue eating.

Don't tangle with me ......take a right paw hook then a head butt

Puppy is enjoying some quiet time when along comes Pink girl puppy looking for some action. Action she gets with one good right paw hook followed by a head butt and she is down, then off as fast as she can go. Puppy returns to a sit position and waits ......... Will pink girl puppy return??

Sleeping puppies ..................................

Sleeping puppies never remain in one position for any length of time. Starting sleeping together are blue boy puppy and pink girl puppy.

Over 4 weeks old and like the puppy huddle...

Puppies having a good time or puppy outside of crate trying to get a better position to get into the crate?

Puppies keep on moving.....

This video was taken a few days after the puppies turned 4 weeks old. Just after eating a meal the puppies are re-energized before settling down for a nap.

' Bum biters '

While cleaning the puppy room I learned you never turn your back on puppies especially when kneeling on the floor. You become a rear target practice which the puppies never miss!

Blue boy co-operated with sitting. He had just woken up from a nap.



















Pink girl puppy was good to sit for just one quick pose then she was on the move. This girl never sits still for any length of time.
















Purple girl puppy was difficult to get into a sit position. She always wanted to sniff the ground or move off the table.













Bonus picture of a puppy standing still. Purple girl with all her moving and fidgeting actually stood still for a few seconds for a quick camera shoot.
















Green boy puppy, the last to have a picture taken had to endure another day of a photo shoot. But posed well for a number of good pictures making it hard to chose just one. But no picture o standing.

Sleeping it off........

Four full stomachs of four contented puppies.
Again sleeping on their bathroom paper.

Feeding frenzy ......

All four puppies would start from the center of the plate and always with one paw in turn in a counter clockwise circle eating as they moved. If one puppy was too slow in the circular movement around the food plate that puppy was either pushed aside or climbed over. Food would be flying everywhere and all over their faces, paws and surroundings. No problem accepting the puppy kibble, now to find a way to keep the food in the plate.

Green boy puppy is trying for the above and dive approach or push between the two other puppies.








Pink girl puppy returns to tidy up any morsels that may have been left behind.

Moving day has arrived....

Time came to move the puppies out of the whelping box which they figured out how to escape from. The boys that is, Green boy puppy learned to step up on the pig rail and pull himself over the whelping box door out onto the floor. Blue boy puppy followed suit with the girl puppies left behind in the box crying in protest.
Move from whelping box to a crate surrounded with x-pen. The x-pen or exercise pen is an indoor/outdoor portable play yard allowing them to roam freely in a safe enclosed area.

Both girl puppies had no trouble crawling into the crate complete with a comfy oversized quilt. The puppies' collars matched quite nicely with the colors of the quilt and crate.





The two boy puppies were content to hang outside the crate taking in their surroundings; or maybe the girls wouldn't let them in.??

Only to be joined by green boy puppy who snuggled up close.

Finally filling the basket with 4 pups at 4 weeks of age.

Officially the puppies will be 4 weeks of age at 1:00am Feb.20/08. Such cute pictures it was hard to chose just one so have 3 pictures for you to view and decide which is your favorite.

One Week.

Puppies and toys .......

This video was taken when the puppies were about 3 1/2 weeks old. This was a day the puppies seemed to be all charged up with boundless energy shown in their play with each other and with toys. For more puppy action video, click onto Rose's blog site to see some more playing.
Pink girl puppy is fascinated with the big ball. Green boy is practicing pouncing maneuvers or fencing techniques while blue boy takes on the smaller ball and roll.
