Pups DAY 13 (Nov.21) EYES are open.

Prime nipple location seems to be where all the pups converge even if it means going undercover.

As the pups suck on the nipples their bellies gradually become rounded pot bellies.

Pups don't seem to mind when another sits on top of their head or lays across their bodies. You wonder how those pups suck and breathe at the same time when smothered by Mom's milk laden nipples and another pup's body.

When full the pups either crawl uner the pig rails or simply roll onto their backs or crawl over Mom.

The best place to fill up is at the back where the nipples are easier to suck and are always fuller here than up at the front.

Pink girl after finishing her meal simply flops over top the other two pups who don't even twitch a muscle, just continue to suck on those nipples.

Some pups like to nurse the conventional way, upright while others chose the more extreme position ie on their backs, paws in the air.

This adventure is proving to be harder than anticipated with more muscle power required to climb over this slippery surfce.

Lets try a different angle..... Eyes are starting to open.

Mom insists on cleaning up any mishaps immediately challenging the pups to remain attached to the nipples while Mom moves around .

Red boy spent time under this pig rail walking from one end to the other end only to repeat the walk again. He was actually able to stand up with enough room under the pig rail to practice his walking back and forth.

Red boy was the first pup to show eyes.

It was a very good meal with all pup bellies full.

Weigh in for all pups. The weighing was done approximately 5 minutes after eating with the pups being very relaxed with their full tummies.

Blue boy weighs in at 1390 grams

Yellow girl weighs ibn at 1414 gams

Red boy weighs in at 1460 grams

Purple boy weighs in at 1437 grams

Green boy weighs in at 1378 grams.

This little guy, green boy decided to be weighed standing up. Pretty good co-ordination for this pup balancing in the scale.

Pink girl weighs in at 1265 grams.

Blue boy weighed one more time to confirm weight. Tracking weight allows us to be aware of the percentage of weight gain per day so if one pup is lagging more attention is paid to the pup when on the nipple.
