Yesterday we attend the CPAT Betty Luttrell Memorial Trick Dog Trial held at the Eastern Shore Dog Club It was such privilege to be apart of this special trial to honour this truly special lady.

Going into the trial I had zero expectations as it was our 1st Intermediate trick trial and having done very little preparation

Intermediate is a huge step up from novice, only being able to go to the treat table only 4 times for duration of the 8 tricks.

AM Trial: under Mel Ell (TAS)

Lottie performed 7 out of the 8 tricks but unfortunately forgot how to do “say your prayers” A huge thank you to our judge Mel for your feedback and help advice so we could tweak our routine for the PM trial.

PM Trial: under Lani Smith (TAS)

With the removal of “say your prayers” and replaced with “moving side step” (only trained this once before ) thought we would give it a crack

Lottie performed all 8 tricks so very proud and absolutely thrilled that we gained our very 1st PASS in Intermediate Trick Dog (only 5 more to go for her TK.I title

12 months ago I never would have imagined we would be competing in Intermediate tricks let alone gaining our 1st Pass I am truly so very lucky to have such an amazing girl who gives her and tries her hardest for me.
