Weimaraner sun shine line up ........................

Queuing for a prime spot, a strip of sun shine on the deck.
Rose takes the lead followed by Cervelo, Winston and Lily at the very end.

Weimaraners love to bask in the sun. As you can see there is only a narrow band of sun shine on the deck on which the weims have decided to occupy.

The weim line up has not changed. Rose still in the front, Cervelo, Winston and Lily in the end.

Rose is now joined by Cervelo who has decided to move up the line to be beside his mother.

Each Weim to each its own sleeping ways..........

Mother (Rose) and son (Cervelo) lie comfortably head to head on the leather couch in perfect harmony.

Lily finds a comfortable position, draping her head and neck over the arm of the leather chair.

Rose and Cervelo now side by side on the couch.

Rose resting her head on the arm of the couch in a tuck opposite to that of the Lily position which is in a stretch.

Lily changes to the other side but still assumes the stretch position of the head and neck draped over the arm rest of chair.

Squirrel hunt through the privacy lattice??

Is it possible to hunt a squirrel through the lattice? Rose is certainly entertaining the idea. The squirrel is traveling along the house wall on the opposite side of the lattice. Rose freezes, not a muscle moving, to watch and wait.

Just a slight adjustment of the head with no other body movement so Rose is able to continue her watch on the approaching squirrel.

Another change in the squirrel's direction. Rose is going to sit this one out, waiting....

Partners in the hunt .............................

Rose is now joined by Lily who also becomes fixated on the squirrel. Rose is so intent on her watch she doesn't acknowledge Lily's presence.

Squirrel getting nervous climbing higher on the wall with Rose jumping up into action.

Rose and Lily continue to be vigilant with tracking of the squirrel's movements without being distracted by anyone or anything else happening around them.

Cervelo and Lily sharing a toy........................

Who is going to get the toy?
Cervelo or Lily

Lily claims the ball while Cervelo plans his next move....

Lily decides to tease Cervelo a little by dropping the ball just a little ways from her reach.

Cervelo managed a quick retrieve.

Cooling off...........

FOXGLOVE, pretty but deadly.......................

Walking the dogs through the forests in my neighborhood I have observed several of these plants in white and purple colors along the forest paths or banks of the greenbelt. Interestingly
the dogs ignore them not choosing to nibble on them as with other grasses nearby.

This plant also known as the digitalis plant is poisonous including root and seeds. The leaves of the upper stem are potent with just a nibble being enough to potentially case death. Early symptoms include nausea, vomiting , anorexia and diarrhea. This plant as pretty as it looks is toxic to all animals including cats and dogs

Registered names of Rose's 4 puppies with kennel name, RoseWin.

Rose's four puppies, two boys/two girls born Jan.22/08 are now registered with the Canadian Kennel Club. Each litter born is given a call name by the owners and a registered CKC (Canadaian Kennel Club) name. Chosing a registered name is fun as you pick a theme, be it flowers, lipsticks, mountains, etc then each person picks what they like best for a name. With Rose/Clay's litter, the theme chosen for the registered name was road bikes. Consequently the puppies now have the registered names as follows:

RoseWin Anson's Cervelo

Call name = Cervelo.

RoseWin Anson's Rockhopper

Call name = Dexter

RoseWin Anson's Vittoria Rally

Call name = Skye

What weims do on a hot summers day....................

Winston(in front), Lily (behind) and Cervelo trying to figure out how to conquer more space on the only shady part of the deck.

Upright sprawl.......................but still watchful

Cervelo sprawl allowing him to relax but at the same time watch the kitchen going ons.

Watchful green eyes .............................

Did you ever get the feeling you were being watched?

These are the eyes of Cervelo, close to 6 months old almost as big as his best friend, Lily (Lily has her own blog site).
