FOXGLOVE, pretty but deadly.......................

Walking the dogs through the forests in my neighborhood I have observed several of these plants in white and purple colors along the forest paths or banks of the greenbelt. Interestingly
the dogs ignore them not choosing to nibble on them as with other grasses nearby.

This plant also known as the digitalis plant is poisonous including root and seeds. The leaves of the upper stem are potent with just a nibble being enough to potentially case death. Early symptoms include nausea, vomiting , anorexia and diarrhea. This plant as pretty as it looks is toxic to all animals including cats and dogs
