DAY 27 - DAY 28 Puppies are interacting more with Mom as well as with themselves.

Chewing on Mom's ear while other pups scramble over and top of Mom.

And of course there is always each other to chew on as well.

Mom Rose will spend some time in the box with the boys until they become a bit too rumbustious.

Rose's attention was drawn to her tail which was being chewed on by one of the boys.

Overall I think Rose is a good mother tolerating the antics of the puppies who always seem energized after a meal.

A rear attack accompanied by a frontal attack by two of the boys. With the other pup taking it all in, probably planning his strategic attack.

When is all this climbing all over me going to stop?

If the pups are not climbing all over Rose they are enjoying the milk bar which is still opened for business.

The paper in one corner is a training pad to encourage the pups to use it for toilet training. One pup seems to have figured it out...left his mark.

The paper is also used for sleeping on as well.

All that play ......

Hey, want to play again ?

Each pup has their preferred sleeping places, either among a pile of toys or on the paper training pads.

Pups first introduction to a meal of warmed goats milk and rice cereal to make a slightly thickened pablum. This is in preparation for weaning next week when the pups are 4 weeks old.
