THE THREE MUSKETEERS....

Rose/Clays' three boy pups born Feb.1, 2010. Named after the characters of three musketeers, Porthos, Athos and Aramis.
Porthos, the big/strong one
Athos, the noble one
Aramis the smart one.

DAY 5

A 4 day old pup showing substantial weight gain and yet still is able to cruise around the whelping box with amazing speed/strength. Just not after a good meal ! It is a good work out for the pup to suck out his milk meal.

' Close encounter '

Pups are growing each day with less stripes on their body now. Those beautiful white stripes the pups are born with are slowly fading away. Any stripes still seen will be on the puppies' head.

DAY 5

Pups are now not only sucking and pulling more on the tits but are using their paws to knead around the nipples helping to increase the milk flow. One pup managed to get two nipples sucked into his mouth while his brother was trying to find one. As young as there are, these pups will push, shove and climb over or under each other to get at the nipples justifying calling the three boy pups, the three musketeers. As the motto for the three musketeers is as follows, ' One for All and All for One '.

Mom Rose watching me have a snack. Think she might want a piece of it?

Stretched out to their full length. Flexible spines as the pups feed stretched out, on their sides or at times upside down.

All three boys in a row. Must be the best place to get a meal ? ! You think.

A Puppy Triangle

Rose's milk is open 24 hours.

Puppy Huddle for a Cuddle

Two brothers taking a sniff together....probably trying to find Mom for a snack or another meal.

This pup has found a soft spot to use as a pillow. Smart pup, it is self heating.

Sleeping pup so relaxed the curled pink tongue can be seen. Just after a meal at the milk bar.

A pup's pink tongue

After a good meal each pup finds his own space.

Just where are those nipples.....

Finding those nipple to the extreme of pulling themselves underneath Mom's belly. Lots of twisting and turning to get at those nipples.

Must be difficult to breath under all that belly!

Those puppy tummies are filling up as seen in this picture. Like little pot bellies.

The pups sucking has increased since birth allowing one to actually see part of the tongue in motion as this pictures show. More detailed pictures of this special tongue allowing for the strong sucking relfex.

DAY 3 Feb.3, 2010

DAY 2. Feb.2,2010

Always one in the crowd who has to show off....this little boy pup is adventurous checking what lies beyond Mom's belly.

The three wee little musketeers all lined up in a row resting on Mom's belly.

Here one can see the distinctive white stripes on the pups from head to tail.

A big ear to a wee little ear.....pup had climbed up beside Mom's head.

This is an Awww.... moment with Rose and one of her boy pups.

The pups are born blind and deaf but have an acute sense of smell helping them to locate their primary food source which is Mom Rose for the next three-four weeks.

Born a silvery gray color with distinctive white stripes over their heads and body.

ROSE and CLAY pups from a repeat litter. Previous litter was born Jan.22/2008, 2 boys and 2 girls with documentation/pictures in the CH GraytSky Ansons Royal Flush Blush, Rose blog site.
